Top 5 Strange Taboos (1)

There are always some traditions in countries that are taboos and should be avoided. Meanwhile, some of these taboos are really strange because you cannot find reasoning for that. But always remember that these different and strange cultures and customs make countries wonderful to visit and/or live.

Let’s see Top 5 of them.

5. Blaming the person for asking personal questions in India

Asking about personal things like salary, religion and marital status may be very personal in western cultures. It is logical that these questions are considered as personal and the person may not like to talk about these. But I India the culture is different, people may ask you very personal questions the first time they meet you without being afraid of your negative reaction. But if this happens, I myself would be very curious on this and ask lots of personal questions from the same person It is very tempting to ask a girl if she is married or not, especially if she is gorgeous Or asking an Indian: how many Gods do you believe in?

4. Not covering your shoulders and knees when entering a temple in Thailand

To enter religious places in different countries needs understanding of the pertaining culture. For example in India or Malaysia, before entering an Indian temple, you must take off your shoes for respect; no matter how much dirty the floor will be The same story is in Thailand. But in Thailand’s temples, you should remember to cover your shoulder and knees with your cloth. It seems you can wear T-shirt and trousers in Thailand’s hot weather or you should avoid entering as they do not allow you. Of course, some of these temples provide cloth or give you a piece of paper :O to cover those parts of body. This is happening in a country that sex is one of their regular customs. But avoid talking about it and just do it  Anyway, the mixture of these contrasts makes a country worth to visit.

3. Wearing short shirts and skirts if you are a woman in Dubai

Strict laws for women to wear appropriate clothes! arein a few countries. In Dubai it is stricter. You cannot wear short skirt or shorts and if this happens, law enforcement offices will issue ticket as a fine. This rule is set to protect women’s virtue!! However, the same rule is not followed so strict for foreigners, but it is logical to respect such regulation and avoid wearing forbidden attire. In addition to Dubai, a few other countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, some North African countries and some Middle Eastern countries are practicing the same rules with less or more strictness.

2. Wearing non-Spain soccer jersey team in Spain

Spain is one the countries that soccer speaks first in the sports. In the last World Cup Championship, Spain was the first in the world. Therefore, you should be wise no to mess with Spanish folks in this case. If you enter a pub while wearing other teams’ jersey rather than Spanish team’ say Bayern Munich, expect to be reproached and yelled at. So before you go to a pub in Spain, I suggest you to wear a Spain team jersey OR wear a jersey of Serie H Ginea soccer league that nobody knows

1. Wearing bikini in Vietnam

In Vietnam, wearing conservative clothing for women is essential, even if she is walking at the seashore. Whilepassingan Island in Vietnam, if you wear bikini, you see people staring at you as if you have done something badly wrong. But later you will find that they want to approach you and even snap a photo of you as if you are a celebrity. If you like grabbing attention of people, Vietnam’s beaches suits you
